In April 2011, China’s textile and apparel exports stood at US$19.74 billion, an increase of 19.95% compared with the previous period and a year-on-year increase of 36.59%. Among them, exports of textiles (including textile yarns, fabrics, and products) were US$8.767 billion, up 37.2% year-on-year; exports of apparel (including clothing and clothing accessories) were US$11.107 billion, an increase of 36.12% year-on-year.
From September 2010 to April 2011, China's total exports of textiles and apparel (referred to above) were US$145.254 billion, an increase of US$29.247 billion, or 25.21%. Among them, textile exports totaled US$56.483 billion, up 27.70% year-on-year; apparel exports totaled US$88.771 billion, a year-on-year increase of 23.68%.
