[Common textiles manual] chemical fiber fabric

Overview refers to the use of chemical fibers (man-made fibers and synthetic fibers) as the raw material woven fabrics. Chemical fiber raw materials in its shape, thickness, length, gloss, elasticity, etc. can be arbitrarily changed and selected according to the needs of the fabric. Chemical fiber fabrics It has high strength, good abrasion resistance and wrinkle resistance, and is not susceptible to mildew, but its appearance is usually not as good as that of natural fiber fabrics, and its hygroscopicity and antistatic properties are poor. The chemical properties are shown in the figure below.

In addition, Vinylon is more hygroscopic and has many properties similar to cotton fabrics, such as good light, abrasion, and alkali resistance, but poor heat resistance and dyeability. The relative density of polypropylene is small, the fabric is light and the price is low, but the antistatic property, anti-aging property, heat resistance, dyeing property, etc. tend to be more. Polychlorin has good acid and alkali resistance, flame resistance and warmth retention, but its heat resistance is extremely poor. It begins to soften at 60 to 70%, and clothing should not be ironed. Hot water must not be used during washing.

The serial number of the numbered synthetic fabrics is represented by four digits: they represent the major categories of fabrics, the types of raw materials, the types of fabrics, and the methods of using raw materials. The medium-long-fiber fabrics are also preceded by a "C" letter to distinguish them. Code details are as follows:

The first digital clothing fabric category: 6 represents polyester and its blended fabrics; 7 represents chemical fiber and cotton blended fabric; 8 represents chemical fiber pure textile fabric and viscose fiber blended fabric; 9 represents rayon fabric.

The second digit indicates the type of raw material: 1 for polyester, 2 for vinylon, 3 for nylon, 4 for acrylic, 5 for other, 6 for polypropylene, and 9 for viscose.

The third digit indicates the category of the fabric: 0 means white cloth: 1 means colored cloth; 2 means cloth; 3 means dyed cloth; 4 means canvas.

The fourth digit represents the use of raw materials: 1 means pure spinning; 2 means blending.

For example, No. 7112 shows a polyester-cotton blended fabric; 8132 is a viscose blended yarn-dyed fabric; C8132 is a medium-long polyester blended yarn-dyed fabric.
